Registration is now OPEN for all classes!
We are excited to offer classes for students ages 4-17 this school year! Classes are divided by age range and will run from August 17 - December 18. The Produce a Show class and Performance Troupe class will run through March 31, 2027. All classes will be at our location near downtown Athens - 1635 W Broad St. Athens, GA 30606! All of our classes offer a deep enrichment model of 7 students to 1 teacher, and classes are capped at 20 students or less, depending on the subject matter! We do everything we can to ensure we cater to the specific needs of all of our students, and rich communication with parents is key to Little Characters! We also are partnering with the UGA Speech and Hearing clnic to offer 1-1 support for students with higher needs!

We are aware that some of these classes have wide age ranges, and we work diligently to ensure that students are met with age-appropriate material. All classes will have a mid-semester showcase and will end with a big show at the end of the term!

Produce a Show
5:45-7:00pm | Ages 8+
$115/month + $50 performance fee
Produce a Show is where imagination takes center stage! Students work together to dream up an original story, create unforgettable characters, explore the world of technical theater, and turn their ideas into a fully staged production.
From brainstorming and script writing to set design, costumes, and performance, every student plays an important role in bringing the story to life. Whether they love being in the spotlight or behind the scenes, this class celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the magic of creating something entirely your own and completely original.

Stories and Songs
4:15-5:00pm | Ages 4-6
$85/month + $30 performance fee
This class is for the littlest characters who show a lot of interest in performing and playing pretend! In this class, students will act out some of their favorite books, will learn songs, and of course, will play in the costume box! We will help nurture the physical and emotional development of your growing child all while having a whole lot of fun.

Intro to Theater
5:15pm-6:15pm | Ages 7-10
$95/month + $30 performance fee
This course will broaden your Little Characters' view of all things theater! We will cover vocality, movement, character exploration onstage while working individually and in groups to build confidence, teamwork and individualism! This class will be full of games and activities geared toward learning all of the aspects of theater!

Geode: Acting Studio
4:30-5:30pm | Ages 11-17
$95/month + $30 Performance Fee
Geode’s Acting Studio is a weekly class for tweens and teens ready to explore the world of acting! This weekly class gives students the chance to build acting skills through improv, scene work, character exploration, and creative theater games. Every class is designed to inspire confidence, encourage collaboration, and help young performers discover their unique voice.

Yes, And… Improv Class
4:30-5:30pm | Ages: 8+
$95/month + $20 performance fee
In improv, "Yes, And..." means accepting an idea and building on it—and that's exactly what this class is all about!
Through fast-paced games, creative storytelling, and unscripted scenes, students will grow their confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills in a fun, supportive environment. Whether they're new to improv or experienced performers, every class is full of laughter, surprises, and endless possibilities. Your student might just learn that Yes, And works outside of theater, too. ;)

LC/Geode Performance Troupe

Have a student who is itching to perform more than once a semester? This class is for students that have worked in theater before, and want to sharpen their acting skills. We will spend the Fall putting on short performances around town, and then use December-March to prepare for a full length production!
Students will dig deep into characterization through pre-written short plays, scenes and monologues, and learn more advanced improv techniques. Oh, and still have a lot of fun doing so!

Film Creation
5:30-6:30pm | Ages 9+
$95/month + $30 Materials Fee
Explore acting behind the camera, create short film storylines, and learn how a film comes to life! Students will explore storytelling, scriptwriting, directing, acting, camera work, special effects, and basic editing. Activities will range from storyboarding to mini-film production.

Friday Classes

LC Homeschool Class (Sept. 11-Oct 30)
1-2:30pm | Ages 6-10
$200/session + $30 Materials Fee
Here's one for the homeschoolers, y'all! This 8 week class will allow students to explore everything involved with theater! Some weeks will be focused on acting onstage, while others will focus on creating props, exploring costumes, and more! All culminating in a fun show on October 30!

Geode: Adult Improv
Third Thursday of the Month | 6:30-8:30pm | Ages 18+
$25/class
Let it all loose as you play group games to explore your inner improvisor! Join us for laughter and community as we get silly and learn some improv games in a low-stakes environment! We ask that all attendees are 18+. Feel free to BYOB (with a 21+ ID) or a snack to share.

Free Community Theater Class
One Saturday Per Month | 11am | All ages welcome!
Join us once a month for a FREE community theater class! It is our hope to offer a snack or lunch after class - please contact us if you would like to donate!

Parents Night Out!
Once a Month from 5-8pm | Dates TBD | Ages 4+
$25 for first kid, $10 per additional child
Drop your kiddos off and head out for a night on the town - childcare is on us! With downtown only 1 mile away, pencil in date night while the kids play, craft and snack all night long (er… or until 8.)
